Project Details
Rupshi is a newly established entity that will house a multi-seed crushing mill with an interchangeable daily capacity of crushing 3,000 MT of soybean/2,400 MT of canola/2,100 MT of sunflower seeds. This backward integration within the group will cater to captive demand. Along with better energy efficiency, the project will also produce soymeal with higher protein content (46%) which is 2-3% higher than what the existing plant produces thus strengthening competitiveness in the animal feed industry. Situated in the private City Economic Zone (owned by the group), the project is strategically situated along the bank of the Shitalakshya River, 30 kilometers from Dhaka–Chittagong highway, and well connected.

- Corporate ESMS Audit.
- Initial Environmental and Social Examination (IESE), Environmental, Social Compliance Audit (ESCA), and Environment and Social Management System (ESMS).
- Initial Environmental and Social Examination (IESE) for the new plant that will replace 2 (out of the 3) units of the existing crushing plants.
- Environmental and Social Compliance Audit (ESCA) focuses on pre-existing, recent, and ongoing project-related environment, land acquisition, indigenous peoples, and labor impacts.
- Environment and Social Management System (ESMS).
