Infrastructure Development for Japanese Economic Zone in Araihazar, Narayanganj (Phase-2)

Project Details

The Bangladesh Government and the Japanese Government collaborated to sign an agreement for international investors to establish a special economic zone, Bangladesh Special Economic Zone (BSEZ) in Araihazar, Narayanganj district.

The total land of the project area for Phase-1 is approximately 238.37 ha (589.02 acres) that land has already been acquired as part of the development program. Further development includes 5.5 hectares for a substation and 3.52 hectares for gas pipeline restoration, with the acquisition of 125 hectares of land for Phase-2.
